This project was a companywide effort intended to prevent electrical hazards in the workplacein their various locations. Our responsibilities were to upgrade and diagram every operational industrial facility owned by the client. We developed a major equipment list and evaluation of the life cycle for all equipment at each site. We also performed electrical audits and participated in incident investigations, the reasons for the failure of large equipment, and submitted recommendations to improve performance. We updated each facility’s 1-line cables/conduits distribution and verified each to meet jurisdictional codes and regulations.
The client directed us to use SKM power tools to perform power system calculations and studies for electrical systems. At the conclusion of our studies, our team provided arc flash labels to each site that showed arc flash level 2 and above. We developed and launched an Arc flash loss prevention program in each facility using OSHA and NFPA 70E standards.
