Provided service to the Project Engineer for Newport Naval Base ($11M sewer system upgrades).
Project included provisions for seventeen (17) sewage lift stations.
One station was provided with larger pumps using adjustable frequency drives and the remainder (sixteen) used Full Voltage Non-Reversing (FVNR) starters. Stations also included emergency diesel generators, total redundant PLC level control systems, and remote control by a base Landis and Gyr SCADA network.
Fault current study was performed for all sewage lift stations.
Developed designs to modify base substations, including forensic analysis on medium voltage electrical power substations. Investigation was initiated to determine circuit breakers tripping problems.
Developed designs for reusable energy by solar power.
