Our approach:

  • Retro-commissioning
  • Pre-Design
  • Design
  • Construction
  • Occupancy
  • Training, Documentation Review and Resolution

Sustainability Consulting

The LXCEG Sustainability Team works with clients to create policies and processes that promote sustainability of a new or existing building. They analyze existing processes and asses their impact helping tailor solutions that allow the client to not only continue operating, but thrive, in a manner that leaves as little environmental impact as possible.

There is no a set approach to achieving this method. Each project requires client vision and a tailored approach to provide the best solution. At LXC Engineering Group, we feel the energy use of every building can be better optimized. Our team will research and recommend technologies that combine cost-effectiveness, efficiency, and environmental benefits. This can be as simple as replacing your lightbulbs with more energy efficient models. Some locations may be ideal candidates to adopt on-site solar power generation and storage. Installing water-efficient taps or smart water metering can also help to reduce overall environmental impact.

Here are some of LXC Engineering Group’s techniques to achieving sustainability:

  • Continuous Commissioning®
  • Energy Modeling
  • Facility Water Consulting
  • LEED® Facilitation & Consulting
  • LEED® Feasibility Studies
  • Net-Zero Consulting
  • Predictive Analytics
  • Turn-Key LEED-EB

Energy Consulting

Facilities function differently based on their design and geographical location. LXC Engineering Group’s Energy Engineers strive to develop options that allow owners to realize energy and operational cost savings. Our Energy Engineers provide the following services:

  • Energy Audits
  • Energy Modeling
  • Energy Performance Analysis
  • Predictive Analytics

Forensic Engineering

Forensic Engineering is the application of engineering principles to determine equipment failures or other performance problems. Often, forensic engineering involves testimony on the findings of these investigations before a court of law or other judicial forum. Forensic engineering, also, tests failed or like components to determine the cause of the failure. LXC Engineering Group performs these tasks once a problem has occurred:

  • Site Visit
  • Interviews of System Operators
  • Define the Problem
  • Collect Data
  • Analyze the Data
  • Develop a Hypothesis
  • Document the Study

Forensic engineers are tasked with recreating the failure to determine why it occurred. The team at LXC Engineering Group has vast knowledge and experience with many types of fires, accidents, and understands the value that the scientific method brings to the overall process.

Commissioning

ENSURING OPTIMAL PERFORMANCE

Project commissioning is the process of assuring that all systems and components of a building or industrial plant are designed, installed, tested, operated, and maintained according to the operational requirements of the owner or final client. LXC Engineering Group develop Commissioning Plans which are reviewed and approved by the client. Once the plan is executed, the system will operate efficiently.

COMMISSIONING ROLE

Commissioning is necessary to show users the installed system will operate smoothly and efficiently. Our methods demonstrate that all project requirements are met.

Commissioning looks at all phases of a project, from the planning stage to installation and operation to ensure clients that the system operates at optimal performance.

Continues Commissioning

MAINTAINING OPTIMAL PERFORMANCE

Continuous Commissioning combine various strategies that are used to address systems operation over the system Life Cycle. By commissioning continuously, we can see component wear trends and predict component operations of the system life cycle to ensure an optimal system.

Continues Commissioning incorporate multiple strategies which examine and address components of existing buildings that can be modified to optimize the system without heavy equipment replacement. A Return on Investment of between 25% and 50% and a savings of 10% to 40% is achievable. These noted elements include:

  • HVAC Systems
  • Energy Efficiency
  • Occupant Comfort
  • Sustainability
  • Carbon Footprint
  • Long Term Maintenance
  • Heat Island Effect
